FIELD: treatment plants.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sorption equipment, particularly to means of collective protection, which can be used to clean air of radioactive aerosols, vapors of molecular iodine and its organic compounds, for example, in systems of air ventilation at radiochemical plants, as well as in systems of ventilation vessels civil and naval fleet with atomic reactors. Air filter comprises housing, in which there is removable cartridge with two filter elements made of folded zigzag-like three-layer sorption-filtering material, with separating separators located between folds. First layer of material along air course is made of thermo glued nonwoven web with surface density of 28-30 g/m2. Second layer is made of fibrous nonwoven activated carbon material impregnated with silver nitrate and 1,4 diazo-bicyclo (2.2.2) octane and having static sorption activity as pairs of benzene 180-220 mg/g. Third layer is made of filtering cardboard having resistance to air flow 6-8 mm of water column. Ratio of fold height, gap between peaks of neighbouring folds and total thickness of material is (20÷25):(2.5÷3.0):1.

EFFECT: technical result is increased efficiency with least resistance of filter to air flow.
