FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing dense ceramic for solid electrolyte based on completely stabilised zirconium dioxide and can be used in solid oxide fuel cells, high-temperature electrochemical devices as electrolytic cells. During preparation of slip at 5-40 weight parts of stabilised zirconium dioxide powder with particle size of not more than 0.6 mcm, method uses 10-20 weight parts of solvent, up to 10 weight parts binder, 0.4-4 weight part of plasticiser. Air bubbles are removed by rotation of ball mill without grinding bodies at a rate of less than 25 rpm. Formation of a thin film is made by casting slip onto moving belt. Thin film is dried in device for casting ceramic film at temperature lower than 100 °C, followed by annealing to produce a solid electrolyte based on zirconium dioxide, stabilised with 0.5-3 mol% CeO2 and 7-11 mol% Sc2O3 with fine-grained structure.
EFFECT: high density, low porosity and high conducting properties of material of solid electrolyte.
