FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for control of steel sheet. Present invention consists in that device for controlling steel sheet contains magnetooptical element capable of determining optical characteristics of magnetic domain structure of steel sheet, light source for irradiating the magnetooptical element with linearly polarised light, detector for detecting linearly polarised light with polarisation plane, rotating in accordance with magnetic domain structure of steel sheet, which is transmitted magnetooptical element, and drive mechanism for triggering at least magnetooptical element to actuate contact of steel sheet and magnetooptical element, as well as separating them from each other.
EFFECT: technical result is higher output of product by visual observation and checking magnetic domain structure of steel sheet directly after grinding process of magnetic domain.
