FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making a combined product from hard alloy and steel of “stud” type. One produces a hard-alloy blank from hard alloy powder by cold pressing in a closed die mold, performs preliminary thermal treatment of the produced hard-alloy blank by sintering at 950-1,100 °C in hydrogen medium, then places the hard-alloy blank in the lower steel half-mold for hot pressing with provision for extension of the hard-alloy blank over the surface of the steel half-mold; the part of the hard-alloy blank projecting above the surface of the steel half-mold is coated with a layer of suspension equal to 5-15 mcm and containing technical carbon; the obtained coating is dried during 4-10 seconds by a hydrogen jet, and then the hard-alloy blank is hot pressed at 0.1-3.0 MPa with heating rate of 150-160 °C/min, power supply voltage from 5 to 8 V and maximum pulse current from 3 to 8 kA.
EFFECT: production of composite articles with permanent connection of a steel half-mold and a projecting above it part of hard-alloy blank.
