SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for troubleshooting a built-on function, a diagnostic tool for diagnosing and vehicle. Method comprises connecting vehicle to a diagnostic tool, using said diagnostic tool to determine at least one first condition for activation of built-on function, using said diagnostic tool to determine via said connection to said vehicle whether said at least one first condition for activation of built-on function is fulfilled, and generating a signal if first activation condition is not fulfilled. Tool is used during diagnosis of built-on function when vehicle is connected with diagnostic tool. Vehicle for diagnosing built-on function comprises a diagnostic tool.
