SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for determining communication loss in a vehicle information network, comprising determining a first threshold time value for setting a diagnostic trouble code corresponding to a communication loss, based on presumable duration to failure of vehicle operation due to loss of communication with first control module connected to vehicle information network, which connects multiple control modules of vehicle. Invention also discloses a method for detecting communication loss in a vehicle control system and a system for detecting loss of communication in a vehicle information network.
EFFECT: achieving actual cause of vehicle failure.
