SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device, a method and a computer-readable medium for forming images of an object of interest. Analytical reconstruction unit (12) analytically reconstructs an image of object from detection data, in particular, from projection data. Iterative reconstruction unit (13) iteratively reconstructs an iterative image of object from detection data. Combination unit (14) combines analytical image and iterative image for generating a combination image. Iterative image can comprises shading artifacts, which may be caused by preprocessing detection data before performing iterative reconstruction. Analytical image shows reduced shading artifacts, in particular, shows no shading artifacts at all. By combining analytical image and iterative image, a combination image can be generated, in which shading artifacts are reduced.

EFFECT: group of inventions improves quality of reconstructed final image of object of interest by combining analytical and iterative images.
