FIELD: x-ray equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in radiation technologies, nondestructive inspection, x-ray structural analysis, medicine for diagnosis and therapy, as well as in other engineering fields. X-ray source includes electron beam generator and a target for generation of x-ray radiation from region of interaction of target with electron beam, arranged on a substrate for removal of released heat from target, between which there is a diamond plate with thickness greater than minimum size of region of interaction of electrons with surface of target by 1/e times, where e is 2.71, having thermal contact with target and substrate, wherein target and substrate are electrically interconnected.

EFFECT: increased allowable power density of electron stream on target of x-ray source, in particular to anode of x-ray tubes.
