SUBSTANCE: invention relates to intra prediction encoding/decoding of image. Image intra-prediction method is proposed, in which a reference samples are obtained, including first angular sample and second angular sample, reference samples are used for prediction of current sample; and value of prediction of current reference sample based on said reference samples is determined. First angular sample is located at intersection line on upper side of current block and column at right side of current block, second angular sample is located at intersection line at lower side of current block and a column at left side of current block, first lateral sample is located at intersection of lines, in which there is current sample and column being directly from left side of current block and second lateral sample is located at intersection of lines located directly over current block and column, in which there is a current sample.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of image compression using different prediction directions.
