SUBSTANCE: it proposes a method for internal prediction of an image which includes the following: obtaining reference samples comprising of the first angular sample, the second angular sample, the first side sample and the second side sample (wherein the reference samples are used to predict the current sample), and determining the prediction value of the current sample based on the first angular sample, the second angular sample, the first side sample and the second side sample. The first angular sample is located at the intersection of the row at the top of the current block and the column on the right side of the current block. The second angular sample is located at the intersection of the row at the bottom of the current block and the column on the left side of the current block. The first side sample is at the intersection of the row, wherein the current sample is, and the column on the left side of the current block. The second side sample is at the intersection of the line at the top of the current block and the column, wherein the current sample is located. And the current block is predicted by determining the prediction values of the samples included in the current block.
EFFECT: improving image compression efficiency by using different prediction directions.
