SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Image decoding method includes: obtaining first information which indicates internal prediction mode of luminance unit from bit stream; obtaining second information which indicates internal prediction mode of chroma unit, corresponding to said luminance unit of bit stream; when second information indicates that internal prediction mode of chroma unit is equal to internal prediction mode of luminance unit, setting internal prediction mode of chroma unit is equal to internal prediction mode of luminance unit; performing internal prediction with respect to luminance unit based on internal prediction mode of said luminance unit; and performing internal prediction with respect to chroma unit based on internal prediction mode of chroma unit, at the same time performing internal prediction with respect to luminance unit includes determining number of adjacent pixels to be obtained according to position of current pixel and specific direction, indicated by internal prediction mode of luminance unit.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improving efficiency of prediction image without increasing throughput.
