SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Image decoding method includes obtaining first information which indicates an intra prediction mode of a luminance component, and second information which indicates an intra prediction mode of a chrominance component, corresponding to luminance component, from a bit stream; performing intra prediction with respect to luminance component based on intra prediction mode of luminance component and on chrominance component based on intra prediction mode of chrominance component; wherein performing intra prediction with respect to luminance component includes determining number of adjacent pixels, to be obtained according to position of current pixel and specific direction, indicated by intra prediction mode of luminance component, and obtaining a prediction value of current pixel based on said adjacent pixel, when number of adjacent pixels is equal to 1, obtaining a prediction value of current pixel based on weighted average said adjacent pixels, when number of adjacent pixels is equal to 2.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improving efficiency of image prediction without increasing throughput.
