FIELD: computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Image decoding method includes: obtaining first information which indicates internal prediction mode of luminance unit from bit stream; obtaining second information which indicates internal prediction mode of chroma unit, corresponding to luminance unit from bit stream; when second information indicates that internal prediction mode of chroma unit is equal to internal prediction mode of luminance unit, setting internal prediction mode of chrominance unit equal to internal prediction mode of luminance unit; performing internal prediction with respect to luminance unit based on internal prediction mode of luminance unit; and performing internal prediction with respect to chroma unit based on internal prediction mode of chroma unit; when number of adjacent pixels is equal to 1, obtaining values of current pixel prediction based on said adjacent pixel; and when number of adjacent pixels is equal to 2, obtaining values of current pixel prediction based on weighted average of adjacent pixels.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improving efficiency of prediction image without increasing throughput.
