FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing aminopolycarboxylates via oxidative dehydrogenation of corresponding polyalkanol amines in presence of a catalyst containing from 1 to 90 wt% of copper in terms of its total weight, using a base. Method is characterised by that first at a temperature of 140-180 °C, partial conversion of polyalkanol amine into a reaction mixture containing aminopolycarboxylate is performed until at least 10 to 90 mol% polyalkanol amine reacts, after which conversion is continued at high temperature.
EFFECT: proposed method enables to obtain end product with high quality and purity, as well as with good output.
