FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of dispersion-reinforced composite material based on aluminium matrix, reinforced with nanoparticles of oxide ceramics. Method involves treatment of charge in a ball mill, uniaxial cold pressing and sintering. Nanoparticles of oxide ceramics are first dispersed by ultrasound in ethanol to obtain a suspension, copper micropowder is added to aluminium powder and mixture of powders of aluminium and copper in ethanol is dispersed with ultrasound, then method includes adding to obtained suspension with powders of aluminium and copper, while stirring constantly and exposing to ultrasound, obtained suspension of nanoparticles of oxide ceramics in an amount which enables to produce a composite material containing reinforcing nanoparticles of oxide ceramics of 0.01÷0.15 vol%, and obtained suspension is dried on air to produce charge mixture. Sintering is performed in a prevacuum to allow formation of inclusions in aluminium matrix in form of intermetallic phases CuAl2 in an amount of 1÷3 vol%.
EFFECT: uniform distribution of nanoparticles of oxide ceramics in aluminium matrix and improved physical and mechanical properties of composite material.
