FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of plasma treatment of metals, such as welding, cutting and surfacing. For power supply of working compressed arc on plasma generating nozzle-anode positive potential relative to processed material is supplied. For power supply to second working compressed arc plasmatron to electrode-anode positive potential relative to processed material is supplied. Second compressed arc between plasmatron electrode and processed material is generated by supplying said electrode with positive potential from another source of supply, and treatment is carried out simultaneously with two compressed arcs on currents of reverse polarity.
EFFECT: higher quality and efficiency of treatment of metals, particularly, aluminium and magnesium alloys by increasing efficiency and width of cathode metal cleaning in processing zone and to increase capacity in processing zone.
