FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for plasma chemical-thermal treatment of the surface of a metal product. Preheating and cleaning of the surface of the metal product is performed by treating the reverse polarity of current, burning between the electrode-anode of the second plasma torch and the metal product - cathode with a direct-acting plasma arc. The coating is deposited with saturation of the surface layer of the product with erosion products of the material of the plasma-forming nozzle-cathode of the first plasma torch by treating with a plasma jet formed by a plasma arc of reverse polarity of the current, burning between the anode, electrode and the plasma-forming nozzle-cathode of the mentioned first plasma torch. The operation of these first and second plasma torches is provided from separate power sources.
EFFECT: invention improves operational characteristics of the working surfaces of the products, namely, scale resistance, heat resistance, hardness and corrosion resistance by improving the adhesion of the cathode material transferred by the plasma arc to the surface of the product.
