FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to HF equipment. HF generator comprises a solid body switch, a horn waveguide extending in a z direction and having a first longitudinal end and a second longitudinal end, and a cylindrical hollow waveguide extending in z direction and having a third longitudinal end. First cross-sectional surface of horn waveguide, arranged in an x-y plane, is smaller, on first longitudinal end, than a second cross-sectional surface of horn waveguide, arranged in an x-y plane, on second longitudinal end. Second longitudinal end of horn waveguide is arranged on third longitudinal end of hollow conductor. Solid body switch is arranged on first longitudinal end of the horn waveguide in order to excite an electromagnetic oscillation in horn waveguide. First lead of said switch is arranged on its upper side, and second lead is arranged on lower side. First lead is electrically connected to first wall of horn waveguide, and second lead - with second wall of horn waveguide opposite first wall.
EFFECT: simplified design.
