FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for protecting electronics from ultrashort pulses. Delay line consists of one support conductor, two signal conductors that are parallel to each other and support conductor and are connected to each other at one end. Delay line has the product of the sum of linear delay of even and odd line modes on the length of not less than the sum of duration of the front and has flat top and decay pulse signal. Conductors are placed in air, and selection of parameters of cross section of line provides equality of average geometric value of wave resistances of even and odd modes to wave impedance path, containing line, and the amplitude of the signal at the output line is minimized.
EFFECT: technical result lies in decomposition of an ultra-short pulse to pulses of smaller amplitude.
