FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used to protect electronic equipment from ultrashort pulses. The delay line consists of one reference conductor, two signal conductors parallel to it and to each other, connected to each other at one end and located between two additionally introduced parallel passive conductors on one side of the dielectric substrate, and each end of the passive conductors is connected to the reference conductor by corresponding resistors, while the path into which the line is connected, and resistors at the ends of passive conductors have a resistance of 50 ohms, in this case, the parameters of the cross-section of the line are selected to decompose the pulse into a sequence of eleven pulses of smaller amplitude, each of which comes to the end of the line as the previous one is over.
EFFECT: increased attenuation of the ultrashort pulse due to its decomposition into a sequence of eleven pulses.
