FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, specifically to catheters. Catheter comprises an elongated shaft, an insertable end formed in or connected to one end of elongated shaft, and a discharge end formed in or connected to opposite end of elongated shaft. Catheter further comprises an insertion aid at least partly encircling said discharge end, and being integrally connected to said discharge end and easily disconnected from said discharge end, wherein discharge end and insertion aid are formed and connected via injection moulding.
EFFECT: using invention provides easier use, wherein insertion aid is released and activated if and when it is required, in all other cases functioning as a component part of connection end of catheter; also, insertion aid is easily removed and then moved along length of elongated shaft, thereby facilitating control of catheter which does not cause contamination, which reduces risk of infection of urinary tract.
