FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for monitoring and controlling water disinfecting systems, in which broadband UV emitters are used. Device comprises at least one broadband UV emitter (101) arranged in channel (100), wherein said device has at least one first UV sensor (103), which is arranged in water at a distance from broadband UV emitter (101) and wherein first UV sensor is connected to control unit (105) which is intended to control power of broadband UV emitter (101) or volumetric flow of water through channel (100). First UV sensor (103) has a maximum sensitivity to UV radiation in a wavelength range between 200 nm and 240 nm. In working mode, method includes processing a signal from first sensor UV sensor (103), based on signal of first UV sensor (103), UV dose in wavelength range of 200 nm to 240 nm is calculated. Measure for calculating power of UV disinfection system is UV dose, which is measured at place of first UV sensor (103).
EFFECT: control of biologically active UV-S-radiation to reliably ensure given disinfection power and simultaneously reduce excess power consumption.
