FIELD: pharmaceuticals.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, namely, to a method for quantifying syringin in the bark of common lilac. Method for quantifying syringin in the bark of common lilac, consisting in producing an extraction from plant-based raw materials by extracting syringin from the bark of common lilac with 70% ethyl alcohol at the raw materials:extractant ratio of 1:30, followed by analysis thereof by means of high-performance liquid chromatography at a wavelength of 266 nm, wherein syringin is extracted for 60 minutes, chromatographic separation is implemented in the isocratic mode, and a mixture of acetonitrile with 1% solution of acetic acid in water at a ratio of 15:85 is used as the mobile phase; the content of syringin in the bark of common lilac as calculated for the absolutely dry raw materials as a percentage (X) is calculated by the formula:

where H is the average value of syringin peak height calculated from the chromatograms of the solution of the test sample; Ho is the average value of syringin peak height calculated from the chromatograms of the solution of a standard syringin sample; V is the extraction volume, ml; P is the dilution; Vo is the volume of the solution of a standard syringin sample, ml; V1 is the volume of the injected batch of the solution of the tested sample, ml; V2 is the volume of the injected batch of the solution of a standard syringin sample, ml; mo is the mass of the standard sample, g; m is the mass of raw materials, g; W is the mass loss from drying the raw materials as a percentage; 0.95 is the anhydrous conversion coefficient of syringin.

EFFECT: higher output of syringin and shorter duration of the method of quantifying syringin in the bark of common lilac.
