FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to use of modified silicon oxide nanoparticles in wood-particle boards, to wood-particle board and method of its production. Nanoparticles are modified with at least one compound of general formula RaSiX(4-a), where X is H, OH or is selected from a group, including halogen, alkoxy, carboxy, amino, monoalkylamino or dialkylamino, aryloxy, acyloxy, alkylcarbonyl; R is selected from a group including substituted and unsubstituted alkyl substituted and unsubstituted aryl, substituted and unsubstituted alkenyl, substituted and unsubstituted alkynyl, substituted and unsubstituted cycloalkyl, substituted and unsubstituted cycloalkenyl, which can be torn -O- or -NH-. R has at least one functional group Q, which is selected from a group comprising epoxy, hydroxyl, ether, amino-, monoalkylamino-, dialkylamino-, substituted and unsubstituted aniline, amide, carboxyl, alkynyl, acryl, acryloxy-, methacryl, methacryloxy-, mercapto, cyano-, alkoxy-, isocyanate, aldehyde, alkylcarbonyl, acid-anhydride and/or phosphoric group, a = 1, 2, 3. Board is made by chipping, cut chips, storing, drying, sorting or separating, grinding, placing on belt conveyor with formation of spread mat and pressing chips. During or after one of operations at least one suspension with fraction of silicon oxide nanoparticles of at least 20 wt% is added.
EFFECT: decreased emission of volatile organic compounds from wood-particle boards.
