SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for manufacturing OSB boards based on a wood material, in particular, OSB boards based on a wood material with reduced release of volatile organic compounds. Wood chips are produced from suitable wood. At least part of the wood chips are torrefied by heating in a vapour-saturated medium at a temperature of 160 to 200°C and a pressure of 6 to 16 bar. The torrefied wood chips and non-torrefied wood chips are adhered by means of at least one binding agent. The adhered wood chips are distributed on a conveyor belt, and the adhered wood chips are pressed to produce an OSB board based on a wood material.
EFFECT: manufacturing process is simplified, swelling is reduced, and resistance to deformation of OSB boards based on a wood material is increased.
