COMPOSITION FOR SYNTHESIS OF OXYGEN COMPOUNDS OF IRON WITH OXIDATION STATES (+4), (+5) AND (+6), METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF AND METHOD FOR USE THEREOF Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC C01G1/02 C01G49/02 C01G49/04 C01G49/06 C01G49/08

Abstract RU 2600346 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inorganic chemistry, specifically to methods for synthesis of composite materials based on iron compounds, containing simultaneously in different degrees of oxidation: (0), (+2), (+3) and higher, and can be used in process solutions conditioning surface and ground water for household purpose; cleaning and disinfecting waste water; production of cathode materials for chemical current sources; inhibition of corrosion of articles made from steel and alloys containing iron; as an oxidative reagent; catalyst in organic synthesis; autonomous source of heat released as a result of formation of material. Composition for synthesis of oxygen compounds of iron with oxidation state (+4), (+5) and (+6) contains metallic iron in form of a fraction with size from 1 to 20 mcm in amount of 40-80 wt% and alkaline metal nitrate, thermally treated at temperature of 240-350 °C. Method for synthesis of composite materials - oxygen compounds of iron with oxidation states (+2), (+3), (+4), (+5), (+6) and iron metal, includes heating a mixture containing metallic iron and potassium nitrate, wherein reaction material used is said composition, and heating is carried out to temperature of beginning of self-sustaining oxidation reaction.

EFFECT: method of producing solutions of oxygen compounds of iron (+4) and (+6) including their leaching from solid phase, wherein solid phase used is composite material, obtained using said method, and leaching is performed after wetting by water.
