FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of intensity of gamma radiation over radioactively contaminated terrain by means of aerial radiation survey equipment. Substance of the method for aerial radiation survey of a radioactively contaminated area with forest cover consists in the fact that during aerial radiation survey of a radioactively contaminated area to measure altitude of forest cover in the survey area by a radio altimeter and automatically adjust dose rate values brought to height of 1 m above ground surface, multiplying by correction factor calculated by certain relationship.
EFFECT: high reliability of aerial survey of the area.
