SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a new crystalline form of cyclosporine A. New form has higher solubility than orthorhombic form and is a more stable form in aqueous solution, than tetragonal form, which gives new form advantages over existing forms in alternative compounds, such as eye implants, tablets, capsules and a semi-solid compositions, liquid gel capsules, suspensions and emulsions.
EFFECT: present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing a new crystalline form, and method of treating eye diseases.
