FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry. Cross flow trays are provided with support system (62), which connects upper cross flow tray (22) downcomer of lower cross flow tray (24). Support system (62) is located between first upper (22) and lower (24) trays and comprises multiple horizontally-spaced braces (58), connected to and extending between walls (52) of central downcomer, supporting beam (66), connected to lower surface of upper deck, and multiple extended supporting elements (64), connected to and extending between support beam (66) and each of braces (58).
EFFECT: simplified design and installation of cross flow trays, without impeding operation of column.
