FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining active coal, including grinding carbon-containing material, impregnation thereof with sulphuric acid, granulation, drying, carbonisation and activation of granules with steam. Carbon-containing material used is salvage foamed polyurethane and fibreboard. Method comprises preliminary treatment of polyurethane foam with concentrated sulphuric acid, then adding to obtained paste fibreboard crushed into powder. Carbonisation is carried out at 650-750 °C at a rate of 6-10 °C/min and holding at final temperature for 10-30 minutes. Activation is carried out at 800-850 °C for 30-60 minutes. Invention enables to produce activated carbon from wastes with high adsorption capacity of activated carbon on simazine of up to 0.02-0.04 mg/g.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing activated carbon.
