SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a substrate for immobilisation of functional groups, as well as to methods of preparing said substrate and cartridge with sorbent for use in a dialysis device. Substrate comprises compounds for immobilisation of functional molecules, wherein every compound comprises a chain comprising: a functional group R, chemically bonded to substrate, wherein said functional group R is selected from a group comprising: ether, ester, carbonyl group, carbonate ester, thioether, disulphide, thionyl, sulphonyl and carbonothioyl, amine, amide, carbamate, urea and guanidine; and an epoxide-containing moiety that is coupled to functional group R by a linker comprising at least one nucleophilic group, selected from a group including amine, hydroxyl and thiol; urease, uricase, creatininase, lipase, esterase, cellulase, amylases, pectinase, catalase, acylase, catalase, esterase, penicillin amidase, proteinase K.
