FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to orthopaedic dentistry, and is intended for use in making dentures. Prosthesis is made of polymer composition. Method includes preliminary cleaning and disinfection of surface of denture. Ionic cleaning of outer surface of denture. Then prosthesis is heated to temperature of 25-150 °C and coating is applied from colourless ceramic oxides by ion-plasma or magnetron sputtering, forming an intermediate diffusion layer. Coating of colorless ceramic oxides is sputtered from oxides of non-metals or oxides of metals and non-metals. Non-metal oxides used are silicon oxide or boron oxide. Coating is sputtered with alternating layers or from a mixture of oxides of metals and nonmetals. Coating with alternating layers of metal oxides and non-metal oxides is sputtered with increase in hardness of coating from substrate to surface.
EFFECT: method increases longevity and reduces porosity of denture.
