FIELD: ice-technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to technology of breaking ice cover on water reservoirs. Method of breaking ice includes releasing, from underwater launcher through open-top water-filled launching shaft, a punch to enable it to reach ice surface. Punch used is a solid, hollow body, having in lower part an opening communicated with its cavity. Punch is released by feeding explosive gas into cavity of punch through hollow chamber closed on top and bottom, communicated with punch using a connecting pipe inserted into its cavity, to ensure filling with explosive gas of cavity of punch and cavity of chamber. Method then includes initiation of explosion of explosive gas in cavity of punch and in cavity of chamber, which causes movement of punch due to ejection from its cavity of products formed during explosion, as well as release from shaft of a stream steam-gas mixture formed during reaction said products with water filling said shaft. Ice breaking device includes underwater launcher, comprising an open-top launching shaft, in which there is a punch. Device also comprises a closed-top and closed-bottom underwater hollow chamber communicated with punch using a connecting pipe inserted into its cavity, as well as arranged in chamber means of feeding explosive gas and means of initiating explosion of explosive gas.
EFFECT: technical result provided by group of inventions is improvement of efficiency of ice breaking due to simultaneous impact and extremely efficient thermal destructive effect on it.
