FIELD: engine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in control systems of internal combustion engines (ICE). Control device contains the electronic control unit. Electronic control unit is configured to calculate the flammability index value and the combustion time index value. Electronic control unit is configured to store corresponding information, which determines the relationship between the flammability index value and the combustion time index value, and also the torque fluctuations limit value. Electronic control unit is configured to calculate the distance between the current operating point, which is set by the flammability index value and the combustion time index value, and the point on the torque fluctuations limiting line. Electronic control unit is configured to delay the ignition timing when the distance is longer, than the threshold value and the air-fuel ratio enriching and the ignition timing delay when the distance is equal to or less than the threshold value.

EFFECT: technical result is prevention of the torque excessive fluctuations with certain changes in the ICE external operating conditions and the ICE parameters.
