FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to thoracic surgery and can be used for osteosynthesis of sternum after median sternal incision. Perforated metal plate for osteosynthesis of sternum after median sternal incision has thickness from 0.5 mm to 2 mm, area from 3 cm2 to 10 cm2, length from 15 mm to 40 mm, width from 10 mm to 30 mm, diameter of perforation holes from 1.5 mm to 5 mm and distance between perforation holes no more than 4 mm. Wire sutures are applied on sternum, which are made by twisting free ends of two adjacent wire ligatures above perforated metal plates, applied on both sides of sternum sawing, free ends of wires are twisted from each side alternately until complete mating of sternotomy access.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables reducing risk of suture cutting through.
