FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to surgery and can be used for recovering sternum integrity following sternotomy. First blanket multi-tack suture is put in series by perforating the intercostal spaces at the level of a sternum body from a xiphoidal-sternal joint to a presternum, second blanket suture is put from the level of the latter prick in front of the presternum, then, the presternum is sewn around and completed with pricks above the sternum through a point of attaching a tendon of a pectoral-clavicle-nipple muscle, then ends of a ligature, sewn around the sternum body, and of a second ligature, sewn around at the level of the presternum, to approximation sternum cutting edges, are simultaneously tightened, in tightened ligatures is successively tied, firstly forming a granny knot, which is granny knot against the stop, then 7-10 surgical knots are put.

EFFECT: method enables preventing cutting sternum by sutures, creating conditions for uniform distribution of respiratory and cough loads on the entire suture line.
