SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiac surgery and thoracic surgery, and can be used for combined osteosynthesis of the sternum. In the area of the sternum handle, two transsternal eight-shaped seams are made with steel wire. Then, two parasternal sutures are applied with clamp-type clamps to the body of the sternum at the III and IV intercostal spaces, one parasternal eight-shaped suture is placed on the V and VI intercostal spaces, and one eight-shaped suture with steel wire is applied to the area of the xiphoid process. At the same time, areas for suturing with clamps of the collar type are formed by electrocoagulation.

EFFECT: method provides increased reliability of sternum osteosynthesis and reduced risk of postoperative complications due to the peculiarities of suturing.
