FIELD: chemistry; fire extinguishing.
SUBSTANCE: proposed foam compound for fire extinguishing contains the following primary components, in wt %: triethanol amine salts of alkyl sulphate mixtures of higher fatty acids of the fraction C8-C14 20.0-40.0; sodium sulfoethoxylates of primary higher fatty acids of the fraction C8-C14 10.0-22.0; sodium alkane sulphonates of the fraction C12-C16 10.0-15.0; polyethylene glycol 2.0-20.0; carbitol 2.0-6.0 and water constitutes the rest.
EFFECT: elimination of the dependency of foaming characteristics of the compound on water hardness, lower viscosity of the product, reduced concentration of reagents in the working solution, lower congelation point of the compound with retention of high and stable fire extinguishing characteristics.
