FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of proppant used in oil and gas production by a hydraulic reservoir fracture (HRF) method. A method for the production of proppant includes preliminary heat treatment of initial aluminosilicate or magnesia-silicate raw materials, its grinding, loading to a mixer-granulator, granulation with addition of a binder in amount of 10.0-40.0 wt.% of the weight of initial raw materials, supply of additional amount of ground raw materials at the final stage of the granulation process, drying of granules, sieving of dried granules, their calcination, and sieving of calcined granules to commodity fractions in the range of 0.01-2.0 mm. As the binder, a mixture is used of an aqueous solution or a suspension of a fluorine-containing compound of at least one of: potassium fluoride, fluorite, fluorapatite, cryolite with at least one of components: 0.5-5.0% aqueous solution of carboxymethylcellulose, methylcellulose, process lignosulfonates, starch, liquid glass.
EFFECT: proposed method for the production of proppant allows for significant reduction in time of granulation during production of proppant with increase in its strength.
