FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petrochemical industry, in particular to catalysts for vapour-phase dehydration of methyphenylcarbinol into styrene. Disclosed is a calcium phosphate catalyst for vapour-phase dehydration of methyphenylcarbinol fraction, including calcium oxide, phosphorus pentoxide, chlorine, water, with following content of components, wt%: calcium oxide 48.9–52.2, phosphorus pentoxide 42.8–45.0 chlorine 0.1–1.0, water – balance. Technical result is increasing selectivity of process of vapour-phase dehydration of methyphenylcarbinol to styrene to 99.77 %.
EFFECT: high selectivity of process of vapour-phase dehydration of methyphenylcarbinol fraction to styrene.
