After exposure to a composite armored barrier by the projectile at a predetermined speed, simultaneously the temperature field is measured in the contact region of the projectile with a composite armored barrier, starting from the contact time of the projectile with a composite armored barrier and on the opposite side, with respect to the contact region of the projectile, based on the analysis of the temperature field recorded with two surfaces, the technical condition of the composite armored barrier is defined by the vector of the armored barrier characteristics and its absorption energy by the minimization of the functional by the vector of the controlled armored plate characteristics by solving the system of equations and based on the analysis of the temperature field, the total energy absorption of composite armored barrier is determined. The device of bench tests of composite armored barriers has been revealed.
