FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to 1,2-bis-(1,5,3-dithiazepan-3-yl)ethane of formula (1),
having sorption activity with respect to palladium(II) and silver(I). Method involves reaction of a mixture of 1,2-ethanediol and formaldehyde in water with 1,2-ethylenediamine in molar ratio HS(CH2)2SH:CH2O:NH2(CH2)2NH2=2:4:1, room temperature (~20 °C) and atmospheric pressure for 2–4 hours.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing 1,2-bis-(1,5,3-dithiazepan-3-yl)ethane with sorption activity with respect to palladium(II) and silver(I).
