FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: scanning of common carotid artery (CCA) is performed. Peak systolic rate of blood flow and time of its achievement from beginning of systolic peak to its top, end diastolic velocity of blood flow, CCA diameters in systole and diastole are determined. Index K is calculated by means of original mathematical formula, two times with 5-7-day interval. If the following value of K index increased, at least, by 15% with respect to the previous one, immunosuppressive therapy that has been performed is estimated as inefficient. If the following value K decreases with respect to the previous one, the following value K remains without changes or increases by less than 15%, performed immunosuppressive therapy is considered to be adequate.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to estimate efficiency of supporting immunosuppressive therapy in heart recipients after its transplantation.
