FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to transplantology and clinical laboratory diagnostics, and can be used for non-invasive diagnosis of myocardial fibrosis of a cardiac allograft. The concentration of galectin-3 is determined in the recipient’s peripheral blood plasma. When its value is more than 21.7 ng /ml, the presence of myocardial fibrosis of the cardiac allograft is diagnosed. The method provides accessibility and non-invasiveness of the diagnosis of myocardial fibrosis of the transplanted heart, reducing the time of its implementation while achieving reliable diagnosis at any time after transplantation, as well as improving the survival of recipients and improving the results of heart transplantation by timely determining indications for unscheduled endomyocardial biopsy by determining the concentration of galectin-3 in the peripheral blood plasma of heart recipients.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of solutions for the diagnosis of myocardial fibrosis of the cardiac allograft.
