SUBSTANCE: group of invention relates to molecular microbiology. Set of primers and method for detecting agent Acidovorax citrulli bacteria in seeds and vegetative parts of plants of Cucurbitaceae family is disclosed. Primers are specific to 16S ribosomal RNA and represent AC-1 F: 5'-ATGGTGTGTTCTTCGGGACC-3' (SEQ ID NO:A) and AC-1 R: 5'-ATCGGCGATCTCTTCGTGTC-3' (SEQ ID NO:B). To detect agent A. citrulli DNA is obtained from plant tissue. Obtained DNA is amplified with primers SEQ ID NO: A and SEQ ID NO: B. Initial denaturation is carried out at 96 °C for 5 minutes. Then one performs 35 cycles of denaturation at 96 °C for 5 s. Annealing is carried out at 63 °C for 30 s and elongation at 72 °C for 30 s. Final elongation is carried out at 72 °C for 5 minutes. Amplification product is detected by electrophoresis.
EFFECT: invention provides high sensitivity, enabling detection of A. citrulli in concentration up to 102 CFU/ml, as well as leading to reduced analysis time.
