FIELD: medicine; otolaryngology; laboratory diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular to otolaryngology and laboratory diagnostics, it is intended for predicting the development of otitis media in patients with rhinosinusitis. Using mathematical model based on three reliable informative laboratory indicators: IL-8, IL-17 and IL-18, complex mathematical assessment of indicators is performed using formula y=0.05669×x1+0.2550×x2-0.0005×x3+0.0066, where y is the presence of the otitis media development in patients with rhinosinusitis, x1 is IL-8, pg/ml, x2 is IL-17, pg/ml, and x3 is IL-18, pg/ml. If y=0.5 and higher, the otitis media development is predicted in patients with rhinosinusitis.
EFFECT: invention provides for the creation of effective and accurate method for predicting the development of otitis media in patients with rhinosinusitis, which allows for a more personalized approach to patient therapy.
