FIELD: engines, methods and fuel burners.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the internal combustion engine exhausted gases treatment systems. The present application describes a detecting method of the diesel particulate filter (DPF)abnormally frequent regeneration. The method comprises: measuring the pressure drop at the DPF and using the measured value for getting the estimated degree of DPF filling with soot, based on the pressure drop; calculation of the soot content in exhaust gases by the engine model and using the calculated value for the estimated degree of DPF filling with soot through the soot emissions level; comparing the calculated degree of DPF filling with soot, obtained on the basis of the pressure drop with the calculated degree of filling with soot, obtained on the basis of the the soot emissions level; and providing a warning signal, if the difference between the calculated degree of filling with soot, obtained by the pressure drop and the calculated degree of filling with soot, obtained on the basis of the soot emissions level, exceeds the preselected value.
EFFECT: invention provides a reliable definition of the diesel particulate filter abnormal frequent regeneration.
