FIELD: physics, measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for X-ray spectral analysis of substances. According to the invention, an X-ray spectrometer comprises an X-ray tube, primary and secondary beam filters, a sample holder, plate-like collimators, analysing crystals, a detecting device with detectors, recording apparatus connected to outputs of the detectors, wherein the crystals and the detecting device are configured to scan (rotate) around an axis passing through the centre of the reflecting surface of the crystal, and set the crystal at an angle θ, and the detectors at an angle 2θ to the axis of the secondary beam, wherein the invention employs a detecting device with semiconductor detectors and corresponding recording equipment, and includes an additional collimator with openings in partition walls across the secondary beam and enables operation of the spectrometer in modes with wave and energy dispersion.
EFFECT: invention enables to lower the detection threshold of elements and improves efficiency.
