FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for modifying natural layered aluminosilicates to produce a composite with sorption properties. The method comprises processing of pre-heated to 270-300°C natural silicate nontronite by concentrated hydrochloric acid at S: L = 1: (1-2) for 1-2 hours while stirring and then adding to the reaction mixture of rice husk hydrolyzate to produce a gel which is being stirred for at least 1 hour, filtered, rinsed off sodium chloride and air dried until constant weight.
EFFECT: invention provides an exclusion of hydrochloric acid and heavy-metal ions from the waste while minimizing the total amount of waste, as well as increased anti-friction characteristics of the resulting composite.
