FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of reproducing aerodynamic thermal action on an aircraft structure in ground conditions and can be used in bench tests. The disclosed method includes zonal heating, using radiant heaters, of the outer surface of a test structure, measuring temperature of the outer surface using contact sensors and controlling heating according to given temperature conditions based on the readings of the contact sensors. The test process includes measuring electrical power of the radiant heaters and comparing said power with electrical power predetermined at preliminary tests of a calorimetric model of the test structure. On sections of the given temperature conditions with fast heating, when temperature sensor readings lag from the real surface temperature values, the measured electrical power begins to overshoot the predetermined electrical power by a value determined empirically, control of the heating process is switched from control based on a given temperature to control based on the predetermined electrical power of the radiant heaters. This continues until the difference between contact sensor readings and the given temperature conditions is less than the empirically determined value for each temperature sensor. Heating control is then performed based on the given temperature conditions.
EFFECT: invention improves the accuracy of reproducing temperature conditions of a non-metal structure, which is experienced in flight as a result of intense aerodynamic heating, during ground tests and heat resistance tests.
